Amino acids are considered vital to the body’s proper functioning. Their uses include the repair of organs and muscles, skin, hair, ligaments and glands. In addition amino acids assist with the production of antibodies, to fight attacks from viruses and bacteria. They also make nucleoproteins such as DNA and RNA. Furthermore, amino acids provide oxygen throughout the body, and help with muscle activity. Going short of only one of the amino acids will jeopardize your health.
